Our puppy, Gracie, is 19 weeks old. However, her ears have not gone up. I have tried to be patient and not worry about it...but she is almost five months.
For brief moments, her ears will go up. For example, when she is excited and is running to catch a ball. If she is incredibly alert about something, one ear can stand up. Sometimes, when I wake her up in the morning, one of her ears will be up. It will flop over in a few minutes though. The woman who owns Gracie's dad says that there have been puppies from his litters whose ears have not stood up until they were seven months old. Our trainer has also seen this happen with dogs and doesn't think we need to take any action. Because of how old she is, Gracie is currently teething. How long does this usually last? I don't want to jump the gun and panic because her ears are not up. I understand that it can take time. However, I am wondering if we should consider taping? I would appreciate any input.
