Default Does it hurt them?

I just recently emailed my breeder about when she thinks Legends ears will come up and sent her some pics of him, He is 16 wks old now and she is going to mail me some inserts to glue in his ears because she said she thinks they are going to need help comming up. Does this hurt the dog in anyway to do this to there ears and if I were just to take the road of wait and see do you think his ears would just eventually come up on there own without help?

I've been taping, stripping and forming his left ear for 3 months with no ill effects or distress from the pup at all. Whenever I redo the ear he gets a treat and puts his head right on my lap.

Thanks I just didnt want to do anything that could make him uncomfortable.

veeds35, if you get a chance to read back in this 'Ears Up' section you'll see you aren't alone with being concerned about your pups ears. The inserts seem to work as well as other methods. So good to read up on them all and be prepared.

There has been no change for our pup's left ear.

The advice I was given was to cut out a piece of mole skin and then shoe goo them into the ear- (if they're not raised in 14 weeks)

Also up vitamins, cottage cheese, and a chicken wing per dish. That should help quite a bit.
