I am thinking of getting Acana Dry Dog Food for my 15 month old German Shepherd, especially the Acana Lamd and Okanagan Apple or Duck and Bartlett Pear. The only thing that is making me hesitant is the 27% Crude Protein. Isn't 27% Crude Protein to high for a German Shepherd? I've heard before that the maximum Crude Protein content for a German Shepherd is 24%. Is this true? What you, guys, out there think?
Thanks in advance.

2 vets have told me around 25% protein for a gsd is ideal, especially a younger dog. A lot of ppl here will disagree. I personally think 27% is fine and have heard of good results with that food. I may try that myself as my pup does well with lamb based food; great stools with Victor lamb and rice but it's high in ash.
