Fish oil???
My boy is 10 months, always had a thing with dry flaky skin. Visited the vet and got rid of it for the most part (he prescribed cephalexin) but still has a few patches on his neck. Been reading up on benefits of fish oil. Was wondering if I can give my boy fish oil for humans? How much should I give him? And how often?

Yes you can use human fish oil pills. Give a couple with food per day. Also add unrefined coconut oil to his diet. It will help a lot.

Add probiotics - since he is on antibiotics, you need to repopulate his gut with beneficial bacteria. Benebac gel or powder is excellent.

You could also try coconut oil. I give mine a tablespoon of cold-pressed coconut oil every couple of days and his coat and skin are amazing. Softer than I've ever seen it on anything else.

Fish oil and coconut? I always thought it was one or the other?

I meant coconut as an alternative to fish.

Fish oil has different properties and benefits - same with coconut oil. Feed both for best results.
