Help a Total Forum Newbie!

Legend, our 3.5 month old male is not picky. He weighed 43 lbs at last vet visit! We currently feed him Dr Gary's German Dog Diet and I mix in some warm water and either a cooked farm fresh egg OR a small can of albacore tuna packed in water-not oil. My main worry is the cholesterol. Can anyone help out with suggestions and/or recommendations. I always get mixed responses from the vets at our clinic! :help:

Why are you worried about cholesterol?

Well because too much in humans can be bad. I take Lipitor for mine and that's why I posted this. Looking for knowledgeable answers. I know that canines may metabolize it differently but want to get some input.

Cholesterol is rarely an issue with dogs. I would not worry about it.

I've never had issues with it. Unless the dog has a specific condition where cholesterol is a factor, it's generally not something you have to worry about.
