Wellness Core at 1 year?

Hey everyone,
So my guy just turned a year last month and we moved a week ago. He has been on Fromms adult gold, for a while and does well on it. I just found out I can not find it in our area. I know I could order but we have bad weather sometimes and would worry about deliveries not coming so I am thinking of changing it up( i really wanted him on a 5 star food anyway),also considering orjien as it is available but like the lower price tag on core. Whats everyone's thoughts and opinions? The main reason I like Fromms is because of quality control so any diamond product is a no go for me(which our area has an abundance of) Thanks.

Ok so I just read that wellness core is made by diamond, is this true? I can't seem to find a definite answer.

Wellness Core is not made by Diamond.

Ok good, apparently they made some kind of wellness (might not have been core) bc they did a voluntary recall for a certain kind of food that was made at diamond plant, I saw that on wellness website. It also stated they would not being doing business with them anymore. I had never heard that and I try to be aware of all the foods diamond manufactures as I just don't trust their quality control.

Wellness still co packs and also makes some of the food themselves. Diamond did make some of the wellness foods in the South. Not sure if they still use them but they still co pack. This is taken from The Whole Dog Journal food list form last month.

What exactly does copack mean? Is there anyway to find out if they still use diamond? Also, any answers to my original question?

Co pack means they share a plant with someone else and someone else makes some of the foods for them. A lot of them will not divulge who they use. Blue is a great example of that.

Great link thanks. I will take a look at next one too. So according to article Merrick is a great food. I know it has good ingredients but have not heard much about them. It is available locally, so now I am interested in them too. Anyone have experience? Also theirs is another that has high calcium/phos levels so I am still a little worried. Anyone know if I should wait to feed him a higher calcium food until he is older or is a year good? I am starting to worry about wellness as I can't figure out who manufactures their food. Thanks for the help.
