Jack only eats at night

Ever since I've given my Jack all day freedom from the crate since he became housebroken he wont eat his morning meal. Before he used to gobble his food all the time but not anymore in the am. I leave the food out for 15 minutes and if he don't eat it he has to wait till his second feeding which is the only time he actually eats. He'll nibble at his food in the am but then leaves it but at night he eats the whole thing. Is this normal?

Well I'm not sure if it's normal or not but my girl does the same thing

He may be telling you he doesn't need 2 meals. We only feed our adult dogs once a day at night. Our 6 month old puppy still gets 2 meals a day but the larger of the two meals at night. Some dogs don't need as large of meals as others. Try skipping am meals for a few days and slightly increasing his pm meal but only as all amount and see how he does. Them after a few days if he seems hungry in the am again reintroduce am meals.

Max is an EPI dog, he has to eat 2 meals a day, he is reluctant to eat the morning meal, but with the female in standby mode, he`ll eat it, but the night time meal he jumps right in

My boy is the same way. He only eats at night. and he waits until we are sleeping to go and eat his dinner. We pretty much just let him eat when he wants

my puppy wont eat in the mornings either, she has to be up for a good 30 mins to a hour before she will touch her food.

Mine only eat when I am home. Food will sit there all day and they won't touch it.

I just found it strange that he stopped eating twice a day. When he was being crate trained he ate both his meals but now since no more crate just once. Weird...

Nita used to eat twice a day but now she leaves her morning meal and just eats her evening meal.
