Default "No no" food

I have read many threads about food and treat and it's all helpful. There are so many varieties of suggestions. I'm willing to try out different things but doing that I need to make sure I don't accidentally use bad food like chocolate or corn. Is there any threads on here somewhere have a list of dangerous food? What I need to look out for when I choose the dry food brand or treats? So far all I have gather from this forum is try to avoid corn, grain, and sunflower oil in food. Am I correct?

Here is a link to a thread discussing human foods that are toxic to dogs which I found by using the search function Toxic human foods.

As for ingredients in kibbles, that is a matter of personal preference unless of course your dog is allergic to something.

while you do your research, might as well look up poisonous plants also.

I had a cherry tree and was told to make sure the dogs didn't eat too many that fell as the seeds could be poisonous, I was careful and can not confirm that, but worth watching
