new and need help please
Hi. My name is Kim and my almost 12 year old Shepherd Mix just had surgery for a sarcoma in his small intestine. I want to change his diet to a high protein low carb kibble as I know that cancer feeds on sugar. Can anyone recommend what brands I should look for? Anyone have any experience with cancer and food? I have looked into RAW, but honestly cannot take that on right now. Thanks in advance.

What does your Vet recommend? Have you talked to a nutrition specialist?

I can't help you with any advice, hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along with some suggestions for you. Best wishes for your baby.

What are you feeding him now?

Maybe look at the premade RAW mixes. When I switched Banshee over due to growths and possible cancer, I just went to RAW but there are several good freeze dried and dehydrated mixes that you only need to add some meat too.
Canned foods tend to have less carbs and you can add canned green tripe as well. We buy Trippett for Banshee. The beef is a decent price. |
