Default Are leftover Ham Bones safe to give as a treat?

We have a leftover ham bone from New Year's safe to give to gnaw? For some reason, I have visions of diarrhea from the bits of ham we can't get off! Thanks!

If it's cooked I wouldn't give it.

Nor would I. Ham can cause digestive upset and I don't even give it to my rawfed dogs. The bone will just splinter and isn't worth giving as a chew. Maybe make some soup out of it instead?

Thank you, I was worried about that. DH wanted to give it, but I told him I had to check with the experts first. I'm strict about what she eats other than good dog food. Now, off to find a healthy treat, as she is looking quite forlorn. She saw him holding the bone, LoL.
