Solid Gold Dog Food

What do you guys think? I am currently mixing solid gold barking at the moon and solid gold sun dancer. I have just switched from nutro's large breed, i did transition the food. My 18 month seems to be doing great but my 8 month pup's stools are not solid, loose I would say. Any ideas or comments?

Solid Gold is a good dog food. You might wanna ask the store you get it from about the price increase, that is coming.

My Sting does well on Solid Gold. I switched him from Wolfking when it wasn't available to Barking at the Moon - he loves it. I do give him OptaGest which is a digestive enzyme supplement for dogs and cats, Omega 3 capsules, and yogurt also. You may want to try that or another type of prebiotic - it helps with the digestion.

Today they upped the price 9 dollars at both stores I frequent...

Wow!! That's a ridiculous price increase. If it happens around here I will be switching brands or looking elsewhere. The large bags are pricey enough in my opinion. Any reason why for the increase?

Actually they (Chewy.com) have pretty good prices. But when the batch of Solid Gold they have now, sells out, they will increase the price. They will have no choice, unless they can handle taking a loss. Solid Gold is making the increase, not the stores I buy from. I saw the paper work/invoice... In fact the owner is pretty upset about the increase, because it will influence his sales. I do not feed Gold, so it doesn't affect me. But I am looking into feeding more fresh food to my dog, because cost is becoming a issue. Seems to me I can get fresh meat (ground beef 2.12 a pound, frozen pollack 1.99 a pound) for almost the same number.
I don't buy online because I can't see the expiration date until I receive the product.

OP, I tried feeding SG many years ago, and it didn't agree with one of my dogs. Something in it just unsettled her tummy. I think it was the Hund-N-Flocken, though.
