I noticed that some of my dogs are great at self regulating their meals, which is good considering that no matter how much I try to make sure I give accurate amounts, I sometimes will still put in a little too much. Do your dogs self regulate or are they the type to eat until they pop if you'd let them?

My guy likes eating. He will finish anything you put down. But then again, he is a little skinny so we have been increasing his diet. We try to take him outside to poop after, then again a few hours later.

My poodle will self regulate
My GSD would literally eat until he pops. He eats four cups(two twice a day). He's been double fed (four cups within a hour) twice now and didn't hesitate to eat it all

All three of mine do. If I put to much in there, its still sitting when I get home. They don't eat unless someone is home, usually that means when I'm home.

All three of my older dogs will eat until they pop, in fact my Chihuahua mix got into a bag of cat food once and ate almost all of it... She is the most food driven dog I have ever met. But she's also extremely athletic and lean(she's about the size of a JRT), I so wish I had know about agility or fly ball when I first got her... She would have been amazing at it! She can demolish a medium bully stick in about 5 minutes, lol.
My GSD pup I'm not sure yet, he's really picky about food, won't even take a treat from the ladies at the pet store so time will tell with him.
