Wow, so you Solid Gold feeders better get ready. Large bags went from 33lbs to 29, now to make up for that, they are raising prices 9 dollars. That is one of the biggest rip offs, I have ever heard of...
Now my Orijen feeding friends, you better get ready for their newest move. They are changing the formula's, again. We all new this was coming when they were bought out.... Buuuut, I am hearing they are removing some of the potato's and are adding another meat. What I heard was that the first 5-6 ingredients will all be meat, hummmm, well see. I did not hear what they are replacing some of the potato with.

Can't say Orijen is much better. They've raised their prices 2-3 times in the last 2 years, changed the formula multiple times and their bags are also less than 30lb. Solid Gold is still not too horrible on the price range, with a $9 increase that'd put it around $50-$60 here, no worse than most other "high end" brands which are also 26-30lb bags. Orijen is $80-$100 which is ridiculous for a bag of dry dog food IMO.

I'd imagine they're probably going to pick up the latest dog food trend of replacing potatoes with peas.

I would switch to RAW before I would pay $80 to $100 for a little bag of kibble.

I figure I can feed my lot fresh raw chicken and Diamond kibble $26-$37 for a 40# bag and still be cheaper and get more fresh meat into my dogs than feeding orijen.

Groceries ALL OVER have been getting smaller and more expensive.
This with dog food is not a shock to me.

have to make up for, the bag is smaller.

What ever happened to the good old days when one of the hardest decisions to make about dog food was whether or not to put water in the Gravy Train.

When they were puppies you put water in when they got a little older you stopped adding the water.

Not yet - just got the standing order delivery email. Solid Gold's Barking at the Moon 15 lb from Chewy $38.99 each. I get 2 so I get free shipping. Also when they couldn't get the 15 lb bags, they sent 8 bags of the 4 lbs size but didn't charge me anymore.

Oh I made the thick rich gravy until it gave my dog such bad gas I almost had to burn down my house!
