Default Feeding frequency questions

We feed Joey twice a day, about 12 hours apart.

One meal would be kibble plus either an egg, raw beef, or pumpkin. The other meal would be just kibble. We alternate this between AM and PM.

Should he get more food in the morning than at night? I was thinking if he got fed more at night, he'd sleep better.

Also, could I split the above meals to feed him three times a day? He always seems to be hungry, so I thought spreading out the meals would keep him fuller longer.

I was also wondering how soon before bedtime he could eat.

I wouldn't over think this. How is he doing with your current feeding schedule?

I also feed twice a day and feel its an ideal time to make sure I really 'see' me dog at least twice a day and make sure they are healthy and normal.

you can feed 2 or 3 times a day. I do 2 times 1.5 cups per meal. Its nothing to kill yourself over, whichever you prefer doing. If the dog is very active 3 might be better to keep him energized throughout the day

I feed 3 times a day but that is more my silly work schedule then anything. I rotate every week. One week- 7am to 3. Next week 3pm-11. I was feeding twice on days and 3 times on evenings but I could tell my dogs got hungry in the middle of the day on the 2 feeding days so now I feed 3 times regardless of the shift I'm on.
