A week a go, my GSD 5yo male had a 5# spleenic tumor removed with 4 biopsies that came back negative. Problem is he is continuing to lose weight. Been dealing with the weight loss for 8 weeks, thinking it is hyperthyroidism but then thyroid panel came back normal and last week asked for xrays and bloodwork showing some mass, hence the surgery.
I am feeding Royal Canine hypo rabbit and potato, 3 cups 2 x day with 2 T wet food. He continued to lose wt after the surgery. He eats, fairly active, drinks, soft formed stools, happy. Any ideas on how to increase his weight without taxing his recent surgery |
