Default Is it true that bully sticks are actually...

... bull penises?

Still preparing for that new GSD puppy we hope will soon to come into our lives... I've been researching teething here, and in the process came across bully sticks, which sound good because they don't have the negative rawhide issues. I was surprised to read that they are made from -- no, they are, -- dried bull penises! ??? What? No wonder they have an odor. Is this really true? Here are two links:

LMAO ... yes, it's true ... but don't worry, i feed my dog chicken's feet, ram's testicles and all sorts of other delicacies!

And, no, I'm not being sarcastic!

I had the same look of when I found out. Yeah, it's a disgusting thought. It's not like the bull needed it anymore. Some of the bully sticks REALLY STINK. There are some that apparently do not and I am sure posters on here can tell you which ones.

Scarlett is normally a reserved, dignified GSG...UNTIL she gets a bully stick. Then she behaves like a 45 year old woman at the release of 50 Shades in 3-D!

I find the ones that look really oily are the stinkiest!

Some really do smell so awful!

Yep. Those are Penises.

Makes me sad how expensive they are over here. We used to get full length bully sticks for just a fraction of what they charge here.

Stella loves loves loves her nighttime bully, especially with the big gross meaty end on it! We cut the bully and she marches downstairs infront of the TV and has a great munch fets, and yes it stinks to high heaven but oh well!!

Love my Stella !!!!

If they put Matthew McConnaughy in the film, I'll be joining your dog in her behaviour!
