from what I understand (and have seen in my dog) chicken is probably the most notorious for causing issues. what other meat sources cause trouble? It's been recommended to me that I feed my dogs a fish source, given Riley's tricky tummy.
I'm curious about bison and venison. I did lamb for awhile but she's having issues and it's either the lamb or just the food. (which is crap, causing issues, currently on a bland diet, need to change her food). I'm not opposed to fish (salmon) just wondering about the other options. thoughts?

I have fed Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach to many of my dogs for many years. My rescued and foster dogs almost always get this too. It is salmon-based and the carbohydrates are rice and oatmeal. My German Shepherd with SIBO, Max, has done well on this and it has been good for me in terms of keeping my dogs in good coat and skin condition. This is also helpful with my rescues as they almost always have needs in this arena.
It does have a high calorie content, so be aware that you may need to use less than other kibbles. If your dogs get robust exercise, that is helpful with a calorie dense kibble such as this one.

i think it depends on the dog what
foods causes issues for them. my dog eats, chicken, rabbit, lamb, pork, beef, fish with no problems. i also switch his kibble sometimes from bag to bag. there's 12 cans of dog food on the shelf. out of the 12 cans there's 7 different brands. my dog also gets a lot of other things as part of his diet.

My dog doesn't tolerate chicken well either- I figured that out when he literally backed away from a bowl with chicken in it and hid under the kitchen table. I've fed Orijen Red but it was rather rich for him so now he's on Taste of the Wild- the formula that has all red meats and he's doing well on it. They also make a lamb variety as well as a fish

I had a friend whose dog was allergic to every single typical protein source...so they fed her some brand that used kangaroo. Seemed to work well
Echo doesn't do well with any kind of poultry, fish, or lamb, but he's been doing very well on venison.
