Default Puppy and Dog foods

I'm new to the forum (but not new to dogs) and I find it kind of funny about all the what's good and bad about certain foods!
Believe me I tried many high quality foods only to find a total waste of money and time, true some dogs will do better on a certain type of food than others.
It's like certain motor oils claiming to give you 25,000 mile between oil changes or if you use this type oil it'll give you better MPG, better protection it's all sales pitch just like everything else.
I have had dogs do better on a 2 or 3 star rating food than I did with a 6 star rated food, the cost of all dog foods is a joke to begin with.
All this grain free, lower protein will not stop diseases that are breed into the breeds only carefull breeding will help prevent that and even then it can still happen.

Websites that rate dog foods have never even seen the foods, let alone tested them. Every upstart dog owner that I have ever seen that insists on spending $70 a bag for a food with juniper berries and fresh flounder get his or her rear kicked in by a dog eating Pro Plan, Royal Canin, Eukanuba, Black Gold, SportMix, Loyall or some other feed store brand.

People would rather believe a dentist that has never tested one food he has an opinion on then the top people in the field.

It is shocking.
