I made the decision to go ahead and put my boys on kibble temporarily due to my complete unorganized mess of a life, and having to be gone days at a time to try to straighten it out
They are on day 3 of TOTW, they don't seem to mind eating it (they like it alot), but OMG the GAS! Does this get any better? Axel smells like, well, you know. I am planning on switching back when things settle down, I am not going to have access to refrigeration for a while, and not be home, things are just crazy and I can't keep up with the raw right now. Yeah, it sucks. Does this occur because of the change, or are they going to smell like this until we get back to raw? Yipes

Here is a thread on that
TOTW/gas...any thoughts? Yes on the abrupt change. We recently switched to a vegetarain HUMAN diet because my mother developed gout and we all feel better on it. Room clearing farts for several weeks then the body adjusts to the different food. Though dogs have a more carnivorous digestive tract than us I think they are not obligate carnivores and can adjust to different foods.

When I first started feeding TOTW the gas was horrible but after about 2 months or so the gas problem resolved itself. I rotate the 4 formulas with each new bag and have no problems with gas now. Only my male dog had the gas problem. Hang in there it should get better.

Thanks guys
Guess I did bring this on myself, LOL! I wanted to make the change before I had to go 2moro to be sure they would be OK on it. (My daughter is going to dogsit them a couple days). I have a little fan I can use to blow it away...LOL! One of those clip on fans would be nice, clip it on his collar and make sure his butt is facing AWAY from me...

Try some Kefir or probiotics. That usually helps with the transition (and digestion overall).

Haha dog gas I am dealing with that tonight.
It gets better. Some dogs get bad gas others don't. When you have a dog with bad gas it's bad. I woke up once middle of the night because of my pit bull awful gas it was that bad. He got trained when we said " meatball you stink!" he would leave the room no joke. It does get better.
