Ok I have some beef tongue in my freezer and just dethawed it to feed to Lucky and Daisy . This is beyond creepy .its a Tongue.i mean like Dang.Ok now that i have expressed my discomfort can I feed it to them ?Is it bad (seems really lean)? Im trying to use other lean meats the boneless/Skinless chicken breasts in hopes of cutting cost. Ok Im going to eat peanut butter now . I think Im becoming a vegatarian.

Sable 123. We have always had beef ,my dad raised the cows we ate and I have been involved cleaning the chickens we raised and the killed to eat. But man this thing has skin. now i know why the tongue went to my grandfathers buddy who made some weird pickled thing w/ it. Never did the beef heart but i think the cow is going to come back kick me and get his tongue.(LOL) I think Im getting the beef liver and feeding it.

Tongue is very expensive I can't imagine using that for dog food. Hearts are cheap and easy to get and very lean, rich in COQ10. They come frozen individually vacuumed sealed. Any butcher will order them for you. |
