Default Raw bones

Ok I had a question about getting raw bones frm the butcher. Every time I go and the few places I've checked out all they have are the tiny marrow bones and knuckle bones. Now I've tried asking for larger ones but they seem to not have any or don't get what I'm asking for so how do all of you get bones??? Is the marrow bones and knuckles the only ones out there or do you have a way to get bigger ones with some meat still on them??? The only reason I ask is I had a lady tell me that she was able to get large bones with meat on them and would give that to her dog as meal and was wa ting to be able to do that once in a while with Stoli. But I can't find her to ask how and where she did that so thought I'd ask here

The bones you are looking at are recreational bones only. They shouldn't be used as part of a meal.
Raw meaty bones(as in food) are softer and not weight bearing mammal bones.
RMB's~pork neck bones, turkey necks, any poultry parts(though chicken is the softest as they are very young when processed, turkey is older/denser)other exotic meats may have softer bones as well. The ones I listed are what I usually feed.
The marrow and knucklebones are ok to give, but the dogs usually don't ingest them in one sitting.
After they sit around and dry out, they splinter, so can be dangerous if you aren't supervising.
If you want to feed raw, there are many great threads here in the barf/raw forums.
When feeding bones, you need to know what you are doing so the dog will digest them without issue.

Ok I see what you're saying. Stoli gets premade raw in the mornings and kibble with tripe at night but since I get him bones anyways or recreation ( while I'm home though and supervised for half hour) I was just wanting to try something where he got the raw AND the recreation from chewing and all in one swoop. I just apparently didn't look hard enough for what I was thinking of.
