Default How Much

Okay, so how much should a 9 month old female German Shepherd Dog weigh? We have had some ordeals, but I was just curious to how much she should weigh. So, I know we're behind some in weight.

Sorry if you heard this question a million times.

Yes, this question has been answered a million times. The standard answer is to have the vet tell you if the dog is the correct weight for its height and build. Shepherds vary greatly in weight at any age.
Pictures would help but the vet is the best way to go.

Depends... Most of the height/weight charts will put the ideal weight at that age at about 27 kilos (60lbs). Of course that is just an average. You can have quite a range in either direction of that.

Our Abbie is almost 10 months. She is about 55lbs...

Every dog matures at its own rate

She's 23 inches at the widthers, weighing around 55 pounds at the moment. I'm sorry about this question. I just wanted to know the average. I don't have pictures but here is a video.

If she's healthy and you can easily feel (but not see) her ribs and she has an obvious waistline, then she's fine. Don't stress about where she falls on the "average" or what other peoples' dogs weigh.

She looks great in the video. Hard to tell with a long hair pup. Just about everyone stresses out about every detail of their pup. If you can't trust your own judgment, see a vet.

She's supposed to weigh whatever her genetics designed her to weigh. Every dog is different.

As long as she's active and playful and not lethargic she's probably doing fine.
