I agree the Chesapeake blend looks better.

I think there is a LOT to be said for buying your food from a local company with real people you can talk to and a facility you can visit. I think that there's a lot more to choosing a food than simply looking at the ingredients. I'm beginning to think that the ability to trust the company that makes the kibble is more important than whether it has rice or potato and where chicken meal falls on the list.

Scarlett and I went to the Bark in the Park too! Always a good time.

I took a quick look at the Petway food, but since we're happy with what we're feeding, I didn't try a bag.

I'm interested to hear what you find when you try it. Keep us posted.

Scarlett, I think we either saw you or talked to you! We were there almost the entire time, and saw two White shepherds. One was BRIGHT white ( we talked to the owner) and one was darker.

Scarlett was the only stock long coat WGSD we saw. Someone had two medium coated ones and there was 2 or 3 short coats. Scarlett was the super fluffy (albeit needing a bath) one.

Yea. We were walking most of the day as a " pair". My son and I had Cullen ( our larger, very deep red with black saddle male) and a friend of ours had her daughter, and their smaller boned black/beige female ( whom entered the photo contest)

Find out who makes the food. The ingredients can be just words on the bag.

Now that I looked closer I can tell where they are made. The first one is definitely made at Ohio Pet Foods. I can tell because it is a cheaper version of another food. The other food is actually cheaper and much better quality. Dog food recipes cannot be patented so anyone can steal a formula.

The second one is just average. $60 for 40lbs is a rip off for that grade food. Rip Off

Sorry to say not impressed. Reminds me of Pet Chef Express.

Sable, I respect your opinion, but as far as the price/quality, I prefer a grain free, but I wasn't really impressed with theirs ( the first one). The second one, I did like that there were lots of meats ahead of anything else. I am doing BG, and love the effects it has, but out of nowhere, my dogs just aren't impressed ( those picky &^$&^ers lol) So I am still looking for something affordable, without grain ( and if it has grain, no wheat or corn at all!)

The number of meats and the order is irrelevant it is the amount of animal protein, and that is just a plain vanilla 26% food for $1.5lb. That is all I am saying.

Did you look at Canidae's Protein Plus food, just rice. Looks like a good value.
