So Stoli and I have been in a constant battle of feeding....in which I want him to eat and he doesn't. Quite honestly it's irritating I swear I have the lowerst food driven dog ever created...I mean it he would starve himself it he could get away with it and probably not feel anything while doing it either. He has been vet checked multiple times and all come back saying he's perfectly healthy and happy just skinny. Well I got him to eat more regularly by switching to RAW in the morning and TOTW with tripe in the evening but that has become a struggle lately as well...this boy is 30" but only 65 lbs (at almost 16mos) at one point only his last ribs were showing but now I am seeing a few more pop out when he's walking. So here's my thought I was thinking of giving him Satin Balls for a few days to get him up a bit in weight and give him a layer to cover his ribs....good idea or just let him be???

Yes. I would try Satin Balls. I was going to suggest that, also if he's eating all of the raw can you switch totally to raw? He may just prefer the raw over the kibble.

Ozzy gets fed once per day, and sometimes he doesn't want to touch it. Sometimes to get him to eat, I use his kibble and make him do a few tricks with his kibble as his treat. I don't know if it gets his metabolism going which makes him hungry or what. But I would also try the satin balls.

I've thought about going straight to raw but it's not feasible at this point since I rent a house with one feezer and two other ppl so there's just not room to make my own raw. We are using pre made now and it's pretty pricey so I would like to keep it at once a day for now. The thing is though stoli is just picky...if he gets the same raw too often he'll turn his nose at that too! I've tried using his kible for treats and that ends up with him spitting it out and losing interest real quick...tomorrow I'm off to the store I printed out some satin ball recipes I'm gonna try a small batch and see how it goes!

Sasha's foster mom said when she got her to get her to eat better she would add just a little chicken broth to her food. Not sure how well it worked, as I never tried it with her.
