I am looking to change our dry kibble we feed but don't know what the optimal % of protein fat and carbs are best. Too much bad because of too much growth too quickly. Not enough and ribs are showing. someone help!

he is 7 mo. and we get in a hike or swim about 2 x a week. He hit a growth spurt and a little too lean for the moment and his ears are still not up fully.

You're going to get a lot of differing opinions on this. I personally like less carbs, more protein and fat, but with a pup that age you really want to keep your calcium low (max calcium below 1.2-1.5%) and it's hard to find a higher protein food with calcium that low. I look for at least 24% protein and 15% fat and am currently feeding a 26% protein/18% fat food.
I think you've just got a floppy-eared Shepherd. I the floppies!
