Default Diamond Naturals and 4health the same?

I decided to try Diamond naturals because 4health was giving my gsd an upset stomach. When I opened the bag of Diamond today I was suprised to see that it looks exactly the same as the 4health I have. If you hold them side by side you can't tell a difference at all. Just wondering if anyone knows if its the same dog food different bag type of thing?

I just put the two bags side by side. Exact same ingredients word for word. Diamond Naturals 60+ adult and 4health large breed. I feel like a real winner! He used to do great on Nutro Max. I had him on it until I got on this webside and everyone was bashing it and I got second thoughts. Looks like thats what he is going back on because I can't afford Blue Buffalo or TOTW.

Nutro had a lot of recalls due to bad corn which caused kidney failure (melamine in the corn) if I remember right.
You are smart to avoid corn, and Nutro adds it as a filler to their food.

Rocky eats this:

Chicken & Rice Adult Dry Dog Food Formula | Diamond Pet Foods

His coat is softer, his ears are cleaner, and he actually eats it. He hated the 60+ one and didn't like the puppy on that much either.

Make sure first ingredient is an actual meat, not chicken meal or lamb meal

Sorry....I thought that you were referring to Diamond Naturals Chicken & Rice.
I didn't think that the Chicken & Rice one had the same ingredients as the 4Health.. (when I was looking at the 2 brands).. however;...I don't have a bag of each to compare.....so I could be wrong.?!

Diamond makes TOTW (Diamond's private label) and 4 Health (TSC private label).

I have had Harley on the Lamb and Rice by 4Health. He really likes it and is doing good on it. First food he will eat dry.

Actually, "meal" is better. The ingredients are listed by weight BEFORE cooking. So if you only have chicken, turkey, lamb, ect listed then once it's cooked the water is removed and therefore no longer the same weight as it was when weighted. So it could actually be much further down on the list. If it's "chicken meal" or "lamb meal" then it's dehydrated already before being cooked so it'll stay where it is on the ingredients list.

This exactly. Meal is actually better.
