Won't know the results until tomorrow, i am starting to think she may have it because her poop is improving some.
I have been given the prozymes to add in her food. The other day i was using some dog treats for training and her poop got really soft and mushy. So my question is what do use for training treats? anyone ever tried using real meat instead like hot dogs?. |

Gunner doesn't usually have a problem with treats or snacks either, as long as I don't overdo it. Hot dogs, I have to be careful with. He can have a couple little pieces, but any more than that and the poop is not so great.
I've had good luck with freeze-dried liver. He seems to tolerate a fair amount of that without any problems. And he goes crazy for it, so I like to use that in training. For the lower value 'just because' treats, I stick with the Old Mother Hubbard "Just Vegg'n" because they're low-fat. From what I understand, low fat is supposed to be better for EPI dogs, but I use them mainly because I don't want the extra calories.

I use boiled hamburger. Jake goes crazy over it. I cut ground beef (sirloin) into cube and boil it for at atleast 20 minutes, then rinse off the fat.

We use liver treats with Nellie and as long as we don't over do it, she is fine.

My 2yr old Jack does fine with EPI-Pro6x enzymes but its way too expensive. Does anyone know other cheaper solutions????
I'm close to giving up on him cause we had tried something else that was cheaper and it isnt working. If i cant afford him we are going to have to put him down. |

Enzyme Diane - ENZYME DIANE
Many of us order from her, and have been doing so for years. Very reliable, trustworthy, reasonably priced source. |

As far as your question regarding treats is concerned, I use low fat turkey or chicken hot dogs. ![]()
