this link has more info on the foods:
4Health Dog Food Brand it looks better than grocery store brands(certainly better than the foods in the comparison chart they show at the bottom of the page). it does look pretty grain heavy. i like to see higher protein levels. a few of them are less than 23%. i dont think there can be much protein from actual meat in a food when the %'s are that low. if one is on a really tight budget and that food is really cheap, it might be worth a look, but there are foods i think are better that are pretty cheap (TOTW or Canidae for grain free) or the food that Costco sells (i think it is called Signature??).

I've been very tempted to try this food. The only thing that's really holding me back is the fact that Zeva likes red meat based foods. She's on Orijen right now... and if I struggle to get her to eat that, how is she going to be w/ this?
Wish they offered sample bags for ppl that aren't really comfortable w/ buying 35 lbs of dog food out of the gate. I did see a 18lb one but again, lot of dog food if your dog hates/reacts to it.

I'm going to try my non-grain-allergy dog and my foster dog on the "high performance" variety of this food, which is 30% protein.
I've been feeding Canidae grain-free, but it's $50/bag where I live. I've cut waaaay back on my household human food budget, now it's time to see if I can do the same on the dog food budget.

How strange! I saw this food at the TSC in my area for the first time this weekend. I was impressed at the ingrediants based on the price of $24.99 for 35lbs. However, that was the sales price and I was concerned as to what the price was going to be after the sale price. (Perhaps an introductory price.) I didn't want to switch feed only to find it more expensive (after the sale) than what I am feeding now. If memory serves, the signage stated the sale was over on 03/13/10.
