someone told me that you can add chicken broth to ur gsd food to help them eat better, would you recommend this?, if so wouldn't it be too salty for them?

there is low sodium broth. i've also found that warm water can pretty much do the same thing as broth. releases the smell & flavor a bit.

This is the dog you got a week ago???

First a Vet check is in order for this dogs.

Second, as long as the dog is eating something I would try to wait her out. A dog that has been moved around alot needs time to settle in. You don't want to entice her to eat if she is unsettled, it could cause more issues like diahrrea.

i don't know the story with the new dog, but i just wanted to point out that it can also encourage finicky eating habits in the future.

so if i start the chicken broth now, more than likely it would just make her more picky?

its better to find a food that she likes and does well on. once you start adding things - an already picky dog can become dependent on additives.

I would definately supervise any contact between the two, teach your child how to behave around the dog, don't force the dog to greet your child either, if your child is old enough maybe have him/her toss treats to your dog until they can work up to being in the same room a little longer then work on getting closer...

i'm sure someone else will have other better ideas
