Default I found the perfect playmate for Kylie!

Last night I took Kylie for a short walk just around the block so I could get the mail. A family on the next block had their dog out in the front yard and we ended up just standing in the driveway while our dogs wrestled for the next 1.5 hours. Cash is 1yo and Kylie is 6mo. Cash is maybe 20 pounds heavier than Kylie (right about what Kylie's adult weight is projected to be).

They had a fantastic time chasing each other in circles in the yard, playing tug-of-war with a toy, rolling over and over each other. There was no aggression at all. They just played and played and played.

Kylie has never had anywhere near that amount of sustained play with any dog before. She's had good play sessions at the dog park, but they are typically 15 minutes or so and then that dog leaves so she plays with another dog for 15 minutes or so and then another dog.

I exchanged phone numbers with Cash's owners so we can get them together during the week some.

BONUS: My husband successfully trained Kylie to harass him while eating (posted on the training board). After all that wrestling with Cash, we went back home and my dh ate supper at the table (the rest of us had eaten earlier). Kylie mostly ignored him. It was fabulous. I think part of it was that she saw me sitting next to him and I wasn't distracted with my own plate of food, so as soon as she started towards my husband I would shake my head and say no and she'd go away.

Sounds like fun! What kind of dog is Cash?

I don't remember what he's supposed to be a mix of. He's black with a white chest and has rounded ears. He's full-grown and weighs about 65-ish pounds.
