As everyone here I've been looking through everything in order to get the most out of my dog!
I ended up with Ender just shy of 6 weeks(i know i know bad bad!!! But it couldn't be helped as all his litter mates had been taken and he was about to be given shots at 5 weeks.....) Anyhow, he isn't set to get his shots until about 8 1/2 weeks, would taking him on walks around where i live be to risky or i that something that would be ok or keep him home until his first round of shots. |

Even though it might seem like a good idea to socialize him asap, wait for his first set of shots (at least). If you have a garden, take him there to potty. If not, get puppy pads
![]() And only let him near to dogs that you know have been vaccinated. EG. Your friend who you could trust.

Let the dog bond to you before you go bringing him out for walks in public. Just play in the yard with a rag or ball. Get him used to wearing a collar and practice walking him with a lead. No need to rush with such a young pup.
