I know GSDs are vocal but Stella is getting carried away. She barks a lot. When we take walks she barks and things I cannot see.... She barks at other dogs....(she is NOT aggressive at all, just wants to play), but it sure is scary for the other dog or person. I am thinking she is barking either because she is excited or perhaps nervous??? She doesn't look nervous or scared though. I try to just keep moving by whatever it is that has captured her attention and not make a big deal of it. Is this something she will outgrow? She is 7 months old. Should I be correcting her or doing something????

Is she better in the group dog classes? What does your instructors suggest?
Barking is fun fun fun, so if you don't break the habit it WILL get worse. Are you using the clicker like many of us do with our dogs? click this --> Intro to Clicker Training (perfect for puppies!) ![]()
