This was really an excellent suggestion - Thanks!
I worried when we first walked in and saw a cute, tiny little Yorkie because Maggie plays quite hardily with her big sister! I just stared in awe as my girl played very gently with the little Yorkie and even lowered herself to be less intimidating. Even after rough housing with the other larger pups - she was very careful around this little 5 lb puppy. The Humane Society uses positive training with clicker and treats. Maggie was brilliant! She loves learning and picks it up fast. I'm really excited - next week we get to learn the agility tunnel and loose leash walking. I used cut up turkey dogs which worked great but should I vary treats? Do they get bored with the same thing for training? |
