Default Please help me with this !

Okay so now he's 6.5 months old, has always barked (looks aggressive) at dogs while leashed, steps I've taken:

-have done and passed puppy class (he actually played the last 2 times there where before he would only run around, bark, nip tails, herd)
-have used friends sound pack of flyball/agility dogs to walk without leash where he is learning manners and nicer greeting of other dogs
-enrolled in Canine Good Citizen where I feel he is the loudest, barkiest, dog and am working on "look" to get him to focus on me when he wants to get in the "zone" and lock visually to a dog (he knows the most of all the dogs in his class...recall,sit,stay,down,etc etc)
-walk him 6-8 miles a week on leash with prong collar where we encounter dogs

Please help me find the right method to stop this behavior ! I don't know if his barking is insecurity, but I know he is frustrated on the leash as he whines while trying to control himself. I am serious about this and have yet to find a trainer who will tell me exactly what it is and how to correct. The way he greets a new dog is horrible, will it ever stop ? Can someone help me?????

Thank you MaggieRose, I read through the thread and yes her situation is similar. I will check out the reading and I guess I need more literature on behavior modification. He is doing so well with training and enjoys it but it is not fixing the barking/frustated/hostile acting/insecure?/ behavior. I appreciate this forum and find it is a great help to read about how others are handling similar issues...hopefully one day it will be accomplishments and not issues that I will write about...

You keep working on this, and find a good trainer to help (and you may have to go to more than one person, keep trying....) you'll be amazed at the progress..
