he's doing really good, he's at 76lbs., seeing him get stronger and faster has been amazing, watching him enter act with my son RJ, they are so silly when they are 2gether, it's like having two teen boys always acting up, and getting in trouble with their running n wrestling inside the house. At the dog park he is still a puppy with the other pups, he runs in full strides, jumps and climbs on objects so fast, you can actually feel his paws when he runs by you. With the temp. being so hot, we don't take him out on runs or longs walks as much as we were before the summer started. We take him out in the evenings only or when he's wanting to go do his business outside. Including some new pics of them along with one with my baby niece. Feel free to comment on his weight or on the pics or anything I can do for him with this hot weather we are having...

Your pup - so handsome! It's kind of hard to judge his weight from these pictures. It's tough to get good pictures of black animals, in my experience anyway - but try a shot from above if you can. Does he have a tucked up waist? Can you feel his ribs? My pup was about the same weight at that age, but he hasn't gained anything since (now 16 months) so don't be surprised if his growth slows WAY down.
When it's hot out here, I play with Panzer with the hose. He has a kiddie pool too and he plops down in that if we've played ball for a bit. Do you have a place you can take your boy swimming? Or a sprinkler/hose at home? It's great to hear your pup is your son's buddy. It's always amazing to me how well they listen to kids. Your niece is adorable.

Keep up the good work... hard to judge weight on a black dog.... he seems ok. We want them lean and fit, but not bony or fat!

Thank you Maggie, it's been so hot down here in TEXAS, it's hard taking him outside, especially with his black coat, the sun just beats down on it. I still try to make time in the evenings for his running n playing out in the field, and that seems to help him alot as far as getting his excersise. I want him to be fit, and not over wieght.

Thank you, Thor comes from a working line and both of his parents are lean and weigh a bit more than the standard size I read alot on here, it's not that I'm over feeding him, it's just in his genes, I'm sure once he's done growing he will look just as lean as his parents. Gonna upload a couple of pics of them, the dad is EVO-sable@115lbs his mom BRISA-black@80lbs. They both come from both West n East German working lines.
