I think my 9 month old pup may have hip problems. Our breeder offers a hip guarantee, but I am not sure if I want to give my dog back now. I will be taking our pooch in for X-rays, but while we are working through this, I wanted to get opinions to see what others have done in this situation.
I understand there is a hip replacement surgery that can be done. Has anyone done that? What was recovery for the dog like? Did it take a long time to get your pup healthy again? How much did the surgery help your pup? Is it easier to just use the guarantee and then just retrain a puppy?

Honestly, wait until you get those xrays done..It could be nothing, he could just be a sloppy, immature clutz at this age

Why worry before you have the x-rays done???? Even if the dog had mild HD, it is not the end of the world and many dogs live good lives with proper care and without surgery. Have x-rays done, then worry about it.

What makes you think your dog has hip problems?
