Okay so Gryff is going to be 7 months in 3 days and I was wondering if 64 pounds and 25 inches sounds good? Does it sound like he will be oversized or average?
Oh and it was my first time measuring his height. Does 25 sound like I did it right? What I did was stood him by a wall, too a longggg pen and measured straight across his withers.

My boy was growing leaps and bounds right up till 8 months, then he slowed way down. In fact, he's only gained 5 pounds since then and is just about 15 months. Panzer is 77.5 and has been at that same weight since January. The feedback I got from the board was that it's common for them to be done with the major growth spurts by then.

GSDs nowadays vary so much in size depending on their lines and pedigrees...that said, it sounds like he will be about average if he doesn't grow any taller.
I have a WGSL who just turned 5 months old on the 17th...he is already 60 pounds (and I keep him lean)...but I know to expect this, since his sire produces larger boned progeny. |

Well both of Gryff's parents are larger. His mother is 75 pounds and sort of tall. However his Sire is short and compact but weights 90 pounds.
I don't really want Gryff to get any taller and I'm sure over the next few years he'll fill out.
