Default Going to Pet Smart tomorrow....O.O!

I've socialized Samson (who turns 5 months tomorrow) in public parks/outside places.
I need to go pick up a prong collar tomorrow and I thought I'd take him along...
any advice from other people that brought there pups there?
He's never been inside a big place like that before O.O

IMO I would not choose a prong collar. A nylon choker is much better! Cheaper too!

He will be just fine. It will be good for him. I take mine everywhere with me that I can. Home Depot and Lowes and Petco/Petsmart. Gets them desenitized to all kinds of weird noises and objects.

no real advice. just relax and have fun! I take Shasta in there all the time. The prong collar has helped a great deal.

My advice..watch your step! Especially on busy weekends! Not all dogs/puppies are potty trained that visit!

oh yup. The first couple times you go, go during the week when its sorta quiet. Keep an eye out for the oops had to go spots. There are the one who arent potty trained, the ones who are and submissive pee, and the ones who have no issues holding their bladder

sometimes the owners pick up after their pets but most just assume the employees are there to do it and leave it for them, though thats not part of their job. There are OOPS stations around the store and usually one outside.

I take Midas for a 15-20 minute walk around petsmart every single day i work. I work at Banfield in petsmart (I know a lot of y'all aren't Banfield fans lol) and so he comes with when I take out the trash and put items back on the shelf that clients left on the front desk/lobby. He's met a lot of great people and I always has a really positive experience. So petsmart is a really great place to go But a lot of people don't pick up after their dogs. If I see a dog having a decent sized (not humoungous puddle cause I'll get that) pee, I run up to an owner and hand them a papertowel. Nothing I hate more than irresponsible pet owners.

As for the prong collar, different strokes for different folks my big dog is an angel with his on, but once it's off he gets all rowdy again. I need 100% angel lol so it wasn't working perfectly for us.
