I was just curious what size is oversized. Aspen is 9.75 mo old and had a little growth spurt over the month. He grew an inch and is now 26" at the withers. I know he has a little more growing to do before he's done. He weighs in at about 63lbs and therefor is not super-sized. But I was wondering what is considered oversized. I think GSD's male breeds are supose to be 24-26" at the withers...right?

Size, Proportion, Substance
The desired height for males at the top of the highest point of the shoulder blade is 24 to 26 inches; and for bitches, 22 to 24 inches. The German Shepherd Dog is longer than tall, with the most desirable proportion as 10 to 8½. The length is measured from the point of the prosternum or breastbone to the rear edge of the pelvis, the ischial tuberosity. The desirable long proportion is not derived from a long back, but from overall length with relation to height, which is achieved by length of forequarter and length of withers and hindquarter, viewed from the side Personally for me, a dog i would consider oversized is one who is not only taller than the breed standard dictates but also over the weight the breed standard dictates. Even if they have a healthy body condition. If its one or the other, i wouldnt really consider them oversized.... just kinda lost lol.
