Retired Army K9 reunited with handler

Hope this is in the right place...if not, please feel free to move.
A little 'SNAFU' ... ended up as a happy story!

I like these stories but it makes me so mad that the military can't get this right. It seems like such a simple thing to notify previous handlers of a dogs retirement and availability for adoption. Actually worries me that they can't get such a simple thing right.

Anyway, I like nice endings and there have been a few. Thank you Kat.

Good story, glad soldier/k9 were able to reunite, and good on Carol too, must be difficult to return him, sounds like they were building a good bond.

Not sure if this dog was trained only to sniff bombs or has had further training, but it shows how a dog with the temperament for work can adapt to being a simple, ball chasing, sleeping on the bed pet.
