Brain Scans May Predict the Best Service Dogs
Dr. Sophia Yin linked to this on Facebook this morning, and I just had to share it when I read it. It sounds like genetic obedience is being tested - greater response to rewards, attention on humans, etc. The goal of the program is to be more scientific in predicting the service ability of animals in training. The program probably also wants to take a more scientific stab at breeding for genetic obedience...or at least the traits I mentioned above. What are your thoughts on this? If the cost to these images weren't prohibitive, would you want your breeder to do the same?
