Looks like the woman who tortured 2 GSDs to get revenge on her boyfriend will be getting 4-8 years. Too bad it could not be more.

Jamie Labbe, the 35-year-old woman who tortured two German shepherds in April, 2011, was sentenced to time in state prison by Judge Marguerite Wageling in Rockingham, N.H. Superior Court on Friday.

According to Saturday's publication of the Eagle Tribune, Judge Wageling advised that this case of animal cruelty was among the worst she had seen in her 27 years on the bench, and she voiced her concerns for the general public, stating:

“I have very strong concern for the danger she poses to others in the community,”

As a result. Labbe was sentenced to 4-8 years in prison.

Labbe tortured two German shepherds who belonged to her boyfriend, Kurt Krohn.

One of the dogs died after Labbe shoved multiple objects down her throat, including a metal clamp and a 6-inch pipe. The other dog survived after having several objects surgically removed from his throat.

Labbe's defense attorney Thomas Gleason, argued that the sentence was too long and advised that there would be an appeal, stating:

“Animal rights are important but they are not to be equated with what happens to human beings,”

“Dogs are dogs and people are people.”

The dogs were allegedly tortured because Labbe was seeking revenge on Krohn.

Ok, when I first heard this, I have never heard of a man being sentenced this long for animal cruelty, but reading what she did, I agree with it fully.

Of course, dogs are dogs and people are people. If not this vicious animal would have been put down instead of kenneled for the next 4-8 years.

Those poor dogs. I wonder what sort of effect it will have on the survivor? That woman needs some of her own medicine.

save the jail time and tax payer money and just shove everything she put down the two dogs throats down her own. She lives, she walks. No hospital care unless she pays for it out of her own pocket.

Those must have been some very sweet, gentle dogs for her to have been able to shove multiple objects into their bodies without getting her face bitten off. I'm assuming she did this all on her own as well?

I believe there is a special place in **** for those who hurt children and animals...I'm sure she'll be there.
