Default Pasadena Dog Murderer gets 1 year in County

Man who killed dog with hammer banned from owning pets - latimes.com

I can only hope that at the very least, he serves the full year, and becomes Bubba's bottom bitch. Some cut & pastes from the article...

"...
A video showing a man beating a neighbor’s muzzled German shepherd to death with a hammer was played to jurors Friday. Soon after, Young Song, 42, pleaded no contest to felony animal cruelty and misdemeanor petty theft and was immediately sentenced to a year in county jail.

Pasadena Humane Society officials said they had never seen anything like the video that was the central piece of evidence against Song.“When our officers first viewed the videotape, one of our officers had tears in his eyes,” said Steve McNall, who heads the Pasadena Humane Society and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. “In my 31 years at this animal shelter, I’ve never seen anything like this.”

Song climbed a fence into a yard in the 1900 block of Navarro Avenue in Pasadena, where the 16-month-old dog was muzzled but untied, April 20, 2011. He then shot it with a pellet gun, left and returned shortly thereafter, chasing the dog and then beating it until it lay senseless. He took the dog's body away.

That is awful but at least he will get some punishment, certainly not enough.

Why would people leave a 16 month old puppy muzzled in the yard? How horrible. What a -------- coward to beat a muzzled dog to death. I hate people sometimes. They probably had a jury of no dog-owners, too.

He plead no contest???

1 year???

I will tell you something if I was this dog's owner, I would spend a year getting my life in order, and making plans. When this guy got out of jail, his little stint in the county clink, a lousy joke, I would go and make sure this idiot paid for what he did. I'd shatter his knees and elbows with a hammer after tying him down, and duct taping his mouth. For good measure, I might just smash all of his fingers and toes too, one at a time.

And then I would go to jail, and hope for a jury of MY peers.

When there is no justice coming from the law, people end up having to do things themselves. This was not justice. Not even close.
