Just received an email from the petition page:
Update about "Department of Defense K-9: Let Tech. Sgt. Harvey Holt adopt Jjackson" FROM: Change.org TO: twylad08@yahoo.com Message flagged HUUUUGGEEEEE UPDATE!!!!!!!!!! Just got off the phone with Harvey.... He has been in contact with Lackland A.F.B. There official statement is... Jjackson is not on a list for being put down. He IS currently working and WHEN it is time for him to be adopted.. They will follow the normal procedure for getting him adopted or further work with Law Enforcement! This information is being reported to the Local Paper for print tomorrow! This is HUGE good news!!!!!!! I cant help but to wonder if it was all of you and the support for Jjackson that got them to finally open up with an official statement! They are well aware Harveys' plea to get Jjackson and will take that into consideration when the time comes. They will not however give a "retirement date" which is understandable.... Give yourselves a HUGE pat on the back!! Great Job!! |
