I knew I should not have read this thread. It just makes my blood boil that we have so many twisted people walking this earth. Bless that precious little one and may it run free at the bridge.

The sack of poop that did that should go to jail. But we as owners need to be better about protecting our dogs. Nothing they do to the perp will change the fact that this dog is now dead. I feel sorry for the owner. I do not think the guy would have used a golf club with a GSD, but he might have shot it. And if he did there would be less outrage because it is easier to convince a crowd that you felt threatened by the more formidable dog. We have to protect our dogs.

the man was inside his house (garage) the dogs weren't anywhere near him or his property. Kind of hard to argue that you were afraid when he approached the dogs, not the other way around.

Makes me sick to my stomach.
We have a senior Pom mix, she is 6lbs. and I can just see her walking around like she does, innocently, and some disgusting monster walk up and whack her like that.
Just sick.
People who do this kind of thing, have no problem hurting any innocent harmless thing including people (little kids!)

I was so upset when I first read about this story in the morning and I had to share. I really feel sorry for the Mrs. Hitchman she filled with so much grief including guilt that her dogs did get out and Lily her beloved Chihuahua she raised from a pup gets slammed with a golf club by Larry Jaurequi all for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Gosh can there be any way to comfort Mrs. Hitchman?

We do have evil living in our midst.
