That is heartbreaking! I just don't understand how someone could give them up.

It breaks my heart! I would take them in a heartbeat if I could.

Did you read the comments? I wonder if there is truth to this:

Quote:
We personally knew these dogs and their owner who was supposed to be devoted to them, they adored her. She has gone to live in Cyprus with her boyfriend who owns a £750,000 house with 2acres ground, plenty of room for the dogs and money is no problem. he with his soon to be ex-wife rescued many dogs from Cyprus and brought them to England and we helped rehome them, we and his ex-wife are disgusted what has happened to these two beautiful dogs. We just dont know how she can live with herself after abandoning them!!

Poor pups! They do not look very young either. Would be nice to find a home together to live out their days.

That is really sweet how they work together.
I hope that comment isn't true (but not surprisingly if it is) Sad to say.

Poor things deserve better

Just read this article in the Toronto Star.

Dogs are 6 and 7. Someone adopted them, but returned them shortly as the blind one was stressed.

Don't great danes have a very short lifespan with 7 - 8 years being average?

There was no reason for the dog to lose its eyes in the first place. She had entropion which is fixable with surgery or tacking. The owner should have had it taken care of when she was a baby.

Yes their life spans are short. I had danes years ago and that is the reason I no longer have them...too heartbreaking to lose them so young.
