Default News about a Dog from Harry Potter

Just saw this. It sounds like a dog that could help the rescue with fundraisers.

Wow, so sad. If he was stateside I'd take him. I have a special love for geriatric dogs and cats. I have adopted more than one senior because I couldn't bear the thought of them living out their final days alone.

that is terrible . You would think the dogs , would have more than earned their keep for comfort , care and security in the last few years that they have.

** not that they have to earn their keep !!

Actually I applaud him for thinking of the dogs first. Gods know that if he didn't they could end up worse than in a shelter. Hope they find good homes.

As big as Harry Potter is, I would think people would be standing in line for the dog. As nutso as people are these days, I'm surprised if someone wouldn't want to stuff it, and set it up next to Dorothy's glass slippers. I hope they can weed out the kooks.

But I do not applaud the owner. He is giving up these dogs at the end of their lives. How confusing and traumatic for the dogs. How uncaring can anybody be to take the best years of a dog's life and then throw it out like rubbish.

I just read another article on this, has better pictures of him and the dog he is with. Sometimes things are just hard to believe. He is such a gorgeous animal.

Would it be better for him to stop taking care of them? Leaving them to possibly be taken away after they have become neglected? He could not care for them, what chance do they have if their owner cannot care for them? Let them starve? All to save face and keep the "keep the dog under any circumstance" people happy? Oh yeah, thats really thinking of the dog then.

At least with them being turned into a rescue with people that can take care of them, they don't run the risk of being forgotten and left to themselves in a back yard somewhere. That would be throwing their life out like rubbish.
