Well if they want to combat "a blind imitation of vulgar Western culture." Then they should outlaw the clothes and that nice french manicure the girl had! I mean how insane!!!

What boggles my mind is that cats are considered "clean".... Ya know, those creatures who poop in boxes of sand in your home? Those are clean.

i'm new on the forum, but i'm gonna jump in here w/both feet anyway. i really hope no one minds.

iran, NOT a nice place, not even to visit. probably very backward, a medieval belief system that would break the neck of any very strong woman (and often does), and most american men, a governing body that cares nothing about the people it oversees, much less the animals living w/in it's sphere of influence.

however, we, Americans, see ourselves as enlightened, the good guy, the worlds policeman, the worlds advisor, the giver of all that is good. WE are at the top of the list of the worlds worst offenders of animal abuse and neglect. America tops the list of nations unnecessarily destroying pet quality animals in so called shelters on a daily basis for lack of homes or "unadoptability", or "illness", or "lack of funding".

i cannot condone what iran is doing, i do not. however, i cannot blame them. they are trying, maybe in a distasteful way, to stop what we have failed so miserably at. they are taking responsibility for an impending disaster that they would have had to pay in the future the way we are paying for our disaster today.

i'm sorry if i've offended anyone. it's just my own opinion.
