Default Dog lost in tornado crawls home on broken legs after 2 wk

THis poor little guy was swept away in a tornado and was missing for 2.5 wks but the resilient mutt crawled home on 2 broken legs. I couldn't tell from the video if they owners are giving him up or just having the shelter keep him while they get back on their feet. I certainly hope they aren't giving him up.

So can somebody explain, if he got surgery, why are his legs still like that?! Poor guy, that floppyness looks painful. I doubt it is since the shelter let him out and about and crawl around.....

He hasn't had surgery yet. Those are the broken legs he has been crawling on the last few weeks making his way home.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away.

That poor dog. Even though it's a happy ending for us, the dog only understand it was in extreme pain and lost. Poor thing.

I'm happy it got reunited with its owners though. Thank god they didn't give it away. No dog deserves to be given away, let alone one that crawled on broken legs trying to find its owners.

It's gonna be a long time before we're recovered from those storms. Really horrific stuff. It paints a whole different picture after you've seen it first hand. Glad to hear some good news!
