LOL,

"Pets" is about as neutral as you can get. They better not visit my house, or they will here some truly derogatory language. They will have to scramble to find a working definition for "pookerbuttkin", but they will have no trouble with the term "turds." Yes, that is right, I will call them "turd" or "turds for brains."

My poor little monsters will need psychotherapy for the rest of their lives. Gee there I go again. I suppose "brats" "doofuses" and "dopers" is enough to send me to word-prison.

Critters is a term of endearment. We call my sisters' kids' critters too. Critters, Boogerizers, Pookerbuttkins.

What is next???

Well, they got part of it right. I've always been in favor of "free range" racoons.

This reminds me of the people trying to change the legal term from "pet owner" to "guardian"...

Not such a good idea:
Pet owner or guardian? Issues

This is what the world is coming to....don't spank your kids, don't use ANY term someone might deem as derogatory, and now don't call your dog's pets. Why am I not even a little surprised Oh and I call my kids beasts everyday, lol
